Instructions for Registering a New K -12th Grade Student for the 2024-2025 School Year

2024-2025 New Student Registration for Grades K-12

What You Will Need To Register:

A valid parent/guardian email address is required to register online. If you do not currently have an email address, you can create one for free at https://mail.google.com/. This email account will be used to communicate with you in the future.
After submission please schedule an appointment to meet with your school’s registrar to complete the registration process. The following documentation must be provided:
1. Original birth certificate must be brought to school
2. Two (2) proofs of residency such as a utility bill, tax bill, driver’s license, lease, vehicle registration
3. Recent physical and immunization records

Application for New Pre-Kindergarten (preschool) Students 2024-2025

For all new preschool families, please complete an application first:

If your child qualifies for admission to the LCPS preschool program, someone from our staff will contact you with further instructions. Should you have questions about the status of your application, please call 540-603-9290 or email preschool@lcps.k12.va.us.

Directions for Returning Students and/or Students with Enrolled Siblings

If you are registering a new child and already have a login for PowerSchool for an existing child, please begin your child's enrollment with this link for the 2024-2025 SY.
Please enter the student's first, last name, and DOB, then click the “Add” button and enter your new child’s access id and password. This process will associate your new child to your existing child’s account.
